I have a 60" Samsung D series that at the time was top of the line. I chose that model because I could hook a harddrive directly into it and play media, even 3D media and it was flawless. I wanted a tv for my bedroom and this was a nice option that popped up on slickdeals for 358 shipped so I got it. I bought a WD Media player thinking I would need one to play all the different file types on my drives. When the TV came I hooked up the TV and probably 90% of them worked just fine.
The picture on this one is fine, I can't notice a ton of difference between this and my D series. I know its only 60hz versus 240 but everything is filmed for the most part at 24fps and at most 48, so a 60hz refresh isn't a big deal on a non 3D file. If I had to pick a downside I guess I wish it had more USB ports but thats pretty nitpicky. The remote feels pretty cheap, but all Samsung remotes I've seen aren't great. Overall the value of this tv is great and I'd highly recommend it.

This is easily the best TV I have ever seen or listened to. The sound is even more outstanding than the picture quality when compated to other TV's. I use it in the bedroom and do not watch my large screen 2 year old Samsung in the living room at all.
Tremendous value for the money.
Set up was a little slow in responding to the next step, be patient it will proceed to the next step.
Many easily usable control buttons for individual likes in the set up.
I puposely purchased this TV because it is not a smart TV, but a dumb one. An excellent decision if you just want to watch TV and do not care about other devices.

Compared to my old CRT television this set has a great picture. The on board speakers are fine for typical programming but I thought about adding modern external speakers and found no audio output. I should have looked more carefully before buying.
